Ken Block most known for Rally Racing also happens to like Side X Sides most notably the Can-Am X3s. As a way to educate people on some of the best spots to ride, he also has a guide, “Ken Block’s Guide to Awesome Can-Am Riding Spots”. Here is one of his guides for the Coral Pink Sand Dunes just outside Kanab Utah. Not only are these dunes OHV friendly, but there is a multitude of different terrain, trails, and geological features surrounding it. See Coral Pink hands on and all it has to offer in this video.
The Coral Pink sand dunes are estimated to at 10,000 to 15,000 years old. The “pink” color of the dunes was created by the high content of iron oxide that sets the landscape for the red rock mountains that surround the dunes. About 90% of the dunes is open for OHV, and it sits about 6000 feet above sea level so it might get hot during the Summer but gets quite cold at night during the winter, so be sure to pack accordingly.
You’ll see in Ken’s guide video Coral Pink sand dunes offers conventional dunes and trails to explore, making this one of the most adventurous places to ride!
